Community Voice Mail helps people living in poverty, transition and homelessness rebuild their lives by connecting them to jobs, housing, information and hope.

How Does It Work?
CVM users receive a local phone number and record their own personalized greeting. They have the ability to receive/retrive messages 24hrs a day from any phone. The system sounds like a regular phone with voice mail capacity to outside callers. Users can utilize the services to aid them in achieving multiple goals:

Housing
Education
Safe Communication
Social Services
Accessing Public Benefits
Health Care
Contacting Family
And More!

Easy to Distribute and Use
Volunteers of America enrolls local agencies and trains case managres on how to distribute voice mail boxes to their clients. You need only a few minutes and a touch-tone phone to issue a CVM number to your client. Your client walks out the door with a new phone number and is immediately empowered with the tangible tool they need to succeed!

Innovative and practical, Community Voice Mail connects individuals with resources to help them attain self-sufficiency three times faster than those without. It serves as a link for people in crisis and transition, empowering them through access to vital services and employment.
