Healthy, Active Seniors with a Heart for Others Make Ideal Companions
A Senior Companion volunteer is a person who receives extensive training, enabling others to live independently with dignity and pride. They must be:
- 55 years of age or older
- Able to meet income eligibility requirements
- Able and willing to serve as close to 24 hours per week as possible
- In good physical and mental health
- Interested in working with and helping adults with special needs
- Out of the regular work force
- Willing to follow policies and accept professional supervision
