Healthy, Active Seniors with a Heart for Others Make Ideal Companions

A Senior Companion volunteer is a person who receives extensive training, enabling others to live independently with dignity and pride. They must be:

  • 55 years of age or older
  • Able to meet income eligibility requirements
  • Able and willing to serve as close to 24 hours per week as possible
  • In good physical and mental health
  • Interested in working with and helping adults with special needs
  • Out of the regular work force
  • Willing to follow policies and accept professional supervision
