Special Events

Do you want to help us raise funds in a fun way? Do you want to gather food, school supplies, or toys for families and children in need? These are great opportunities for you, your family, your club, sports team, or work group to come out and feel good about giving back.

Help out at the South Everett Mobile Food Bank!
805 W Casino Rd, Everett WA 98204

The new South Everett Mobile Food Bank needs your help to serve families in need! Volunteers are needed to help with set up, food distribution, and clean up. We welcome all volunteers with a big heart and are especially looking for volunteers who speak Spanish or Russian to help serve our clients who speak limited English.

Tuesday, October 28th from 4 - 6 pm

Hunger Goblin' Food Drive
Greenwood / Phinney neighborhood (10 donation stations available to choose from)

The Hunger Goblin' is the PhinneyWood neighborhood's annual trick-or-treat and food drive event. Help us collect food at one of ten donation stations placed throughout the PhinneyWood neighborhood. You will be contacted with a choice of stations after you sign up.

This is a great excuse to wear your costume early for a good cause. This opportunity is family friendly. Volunteers are placed at stations in teams of two or three, so it's a great opportunity to bring a family member or friend to help out and have a great time! Split the shift with a friend or family member if you want to take your kid trick-or-treating during the event. It's a blast!

Saturday, October 25th from 12 - 3 pm

Cider Press Food Drive
9041 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle WA 98103
Join us for the 3rd Annual Cider Press food drive & fundraiser for the Greenwood Food Bank! Volunteers of America partners with City Fruit for this fun event to bring much needed holiday food donations to our Greenwood Food Bank. City Fruit provides a traditional cider press and we make fresh pressed cider, which is given out in exchange for a bag of groceries or a $10 donation. Volunteers are needed to help prep the apples, work the press, clean as we go, weigh donations, and (the best part!) give out the cider.

Coinciding with this event is the neighborhood trick-or-treat from 12 - 3 pm, so it's a great opportunity to wear your costume for a good cause! If you want to take your kid trick-or-treating during the event, bring a canned food donation and let us know you'll be volunteering for a shorter shift. It's a ton of fun!

Saturday, October 25th from 12 - 4 pm
