Sky Valley Internship
Title of Volunteer Position: Case Management Intern
Program: Sky Valley Community Resource Center Homeless Prevention
Goal of Program:
Assist households experiencing temporary economic distress remain in housing and achieve greater self-sufficiency
Volunteer Activities:
Learn and practice case management skills such as client interviews, needs
assessments, client resource referral, record keeping and follow up assessment and documentation.
Benefits of Volunteering:
* Experience working with clients in a social service agency.
* Learn to assist clients in creating an Individualized Development Plan and increase self-sufficiency.
* Learn and practice case management skills.
Requirements:
* Compassion and a willingness to learn.
* BA or student in process of obtaining BA.
Prerequisite Information:
* Background check
* Completed VOA Volunteer Placement Application
* Signed VOA Confidentiality Agreement
Timeframe:
Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturday or evening event)
Hours: Internship hours and terms of commitment tailored to individual.
