That is what campers have come to expect at Volunteers of America Camp Volasuca. A place where staff plan programming for months, all with an eye toward providing a unique and safe atmosphere that practically guarantees fun and new friends for at-risk youth and adults with developmental disabilities. That’s important because many of those who join us might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience summer camp. Camp Volasuca is situated at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and lies nestled in a wooded area in the Sultan Basin. We spend much time and effort recruiting and training staff from all over the world. They jump right in and offer an array of activities to capture the imagination of the campers, encouraging each person to explore new things. Throughout the week, we are able to build upon camper strengths and help them gain self-confidence as the session progresses. Summer camp is a powerful experience that can contribute to each participant’s well-being and can create a lifetime of memories. Questions or need more information?
