Volunteers of America For families, children, seniors, and adults with developmental disabilities, Volunteers of America Western Washington is The Place to Turn for those in need. In fact, 350,000 times a year people in need turn to us for assistance. Volunteers of America is the largest human service agency in Snohomish County and we serve 8 counties in Western Washington. We are an affliate of a national organization, governed by a local board of directors. Specifically, we:
Whether we are delivering food to a homebound senior, providing rent and mortgage assistance, or providing a child with the tools needed to succeed in school, we are there, answering the calls for help from our community’s most vulnerable neighbors.
Teaching Life Skills for a Better Community Here at Volunteers of America, we support individuals in the community to help them reach their full potential. We are building strong communities by offering people the resources they need to be successful and self sufficient. We believe in the importance of personal responsibility and that is why Volunteers of America is offering Life Skills workshops to help community members learn vital skills needed in everyday life. Workshops are offered monthly and are open to anyone. Course topics range from budgeting and financial management, to nutrition and cooking, to self-discipline. LEARN MORE... Feed Hungry Families
