Find Your Unique Cause

When it comes to the importance of serving those in your own community, Volunteers of America knows first-hand just how transformational it is.  First Lady Michelle Obama said it best:

"...this new Administration doesn’t view service as separate from our national priorities, or in addition to our national priorities - we see it as the key to achieving our national priorities.....And today, at this defining moment, this Administration doesn’t just see service as something that transforms individual lives, or individual communities - but as a force with the power to transform this nation."

Volunteers of America invites YOU to get involved in your community & be part of a national movement too! We have volunteer opportunities available right now, whether you want to serve as a one-time volunteer, on an ongoing basis, as an intern or as a group of volunteers.

While our administrative offices are based out of Everett, volunteer opportunities are available in Pierce, King, Snohomish & Skagit counties. We have a range of volunteer activities, including:

  • Intern as a case manager for Housing & Transitional Services
  • Read and play with low-income pre-school children
  • Serve on an advisory board
  • Instruct a Life Skills class
  • Share your musical or artistic talents as a performer/guest at our home for adults with disabilities
  • Serve as a food bank aide or driver
  • Mentor a child through our Mentoring Children of Promise program
  • Help with landscape & maintenance projects
  • Work as a team on a group project
  • Various administrative duties
  • Serve for one year as an Americorps VISTA
