One night found us line dancing the Macarena. "You should have seen the wheelchairs and walkers rolling around, we looked like frolicking high schoolers!",says one summer camp counselor. Another day found Sandy laughing hysterically as she dyed socks in arts and crafts. She is deaf and blind and she did not actual "dye" anything - she found incredible joy in simply squeezing the bottle! One evening found the sun setting on a campfire event full of enthusiasm for skits, camp staff banter, and just a general good time. Then, as the evening fun was closing with the melancholy ’As I Went Down to the River’, campers came on stage and stood silently. Very poignant, very heartfelt, very difficult to move past the moment without tears. Why Travel with Us?
