It is difficult to be a struggling family in our region, or a senior or individual with disabilites on a fixed income.
Volunteers of America’s network of comprehensive resources create a synergy that leverages support to impact those in need. Target your giving to specific issues, such as feeding hungry people or helping families in crisis, or let us apply your gift to the service area that needs it most. You also can email or call us at 425-259-3191. We would be happy to talk to you about your gift and what you would like to accomplish with it. Community food and fund drives are a fantastic way to help others, and often it can build community for those doing the collecting too! So whether your group’s passion is to feed hungry people, provide coats and blankets in the winter, school supplies in fall or otherwise, we can help you plan and organize an effort that truly makes a difference. Many people eagerly seize the kinship spirit of Thanksgiving and Christmas, and take a moment to bring hope into the life of another. No better way to do this than to sponsor a struggling family for the holidays. Whether you want to bring hope through meals, food or gifts, Volunteers of America Holiday Basket Bureau is a regional program that ensures your effort will be directed to the people who could benefit most. A great alternative to financial giving is volunteering your time and talent. Whether you are looking to gain marketable job skills, share your professional expertise, plan a team-building event or simply help others, we offer a variety of volunteer positions on our Job Board . We’re sure there is at least one that will catch your eye. Want to know more about the community needs of our region’s most vulnerable families? Please feel free to contact our outreach coordinator Kathleen Dale who will be happy to educate, inspire and engage at a time, and location, convenient for you. Feed Hungry Families
