Jessica was living alone and struggling to pay her Less than a week later, Jessica received a follow-up call from 2-1-1 to see how everything worked out. With Natalie sitting comfortably in new diapers and a car seat, Jessica explained how 211’s referrals helped her find affordable baby formula, low-cost daycare, and financial assistance with her utility bill. Thanks to these referrals from 211, Jessica was able to find the appropriate programs. She was able to save time and energy by not having to search on her own. Get Connected, Get Answers Every hour of every day, someone in the United States needs essential services-from finding a shelter, to locating quality care for a child or an aging parent. Faced with a dramatic increase in the number of agencies and specialized help-lines, people often don’t know where to turn. In many cases, people end up going without these necessary services because they do not know where to start. Likewise, people in the community are looking to give their time and resources to a good cause. Be it a donation of food or clothing, spending time with someone in hospice care, or wanting to lend a vital hand during a disaster - people want to help those in need. North Sound 2-1-1 is a partnership of Volunteers of America Western Washington and United Way of Snohomish County.
