Preparing children for kindergarten is spelled F-U-N! But don’t let the smiles and the dress up clothes fool you -  preschool is serious business. Over half of those entering kindergarten this year across the U.S. are not prepared for school. And when a child starts out behind, its often difficult to navigate the tender esteem and social issues to address some real issues.

Entering school is a big step in a child’s life-and in a parent’s life, too. Volunteers of America ECEAP and Community Preschool, located off Evergreen Way in Everett, offers support and opportunities for children and their families to begin the public school years healthy and ready to learn.

Our preschool reflects dedication to young children

Our preschool curriculum is designed to be engaging and dynamic.  In fact, sometimes the children are enjoying it so much that even we forget they are learning!   Our school is taught by educated and experienced staff who keep informed of the newest information on early childhood education.  Our site is filled with supplies and activities to delight and intrigue the preschooler.  We have bright, colorful classrooms and a beautiful outdoor play yard.

Any child preschool age (3 to 6) who could benefit from a quality, affordable preschool is welcome to apply, and those seeking enrollment from low-income families who qualify can attend free of charge.  Children can enroll in our ECEAP and Community Preschool and attend Monday through Thursday in a morning or afternoon session. The times are 8:45-11:45 or 12:30-3:30.  All families and their children can expect high quality:

  • foundational education
  • practical health and nutrition information
  • appropriate family support
  • family involvement opportunties
