ABOUT THIS COURSE
The "Communication Skills for Effective Leaders" training spans two full days and focuses on equipping participants with essential skills to lead and communicate effectively in professional environments. Participants begin by exploring leadership styles such as Direct/Expert, Coach, Facilitate, and Collaborate to learn how to leverage power while empowering others. They delve into barriers to understanding others, including perceptions and assumptions while practicing active listening techniques to enhance understanding and values in conversations. Using the Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, participants identify and evaluate different conflict styles to discuss interventions for productive communication. The training also addresses the Rescue Triangle dynamics and strategies to avoid getting stuck. Participants learn to build and maintain trust using the Sincerity, Reliability, Care, and Competence model to manage the cycle of commitment preventing miscommunication. Additionally, they develop skills to give and receive feedback effectively, employing the 6 “I” formats to ensure constructive dialogue and action planning. By the end of the training, participants are equipped with comprehensive communication tools to lead teams, manage conflicts, and foster trust in their professional roles. ** Note that all times listed are PST ** Use code CSEL125 through January 7 to save $24 on your individual registration fee.
