Mediation & Workplace Trainings
Our trainers use interactive instruction to provide a variety of lectures, discussions, and practice sessions for participants.
Individuals and organizations are welcome to enroll in any published Workplace training at any time. Basic Mediation Training must be completed before enrolling in Family Mediation Training.



Becoming a Mediator
The Volunteers of America Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) is an alternative dispute resolution center with extensive experience as a mediation and training program.
Become a certified mediator through our online training sessions and learn how to facilitate mediations in families, in your community with landlord/tenant disputes, or in the workplace between employees.
All training sessions are conducted online.

We offer professional training of the highest caliber, created and developed with over thirty years of experience in the conflict management field. Our trainers demonstrate a great breadth of skill and insight and use interactive instruction to provide a variety of lecture, discussion and practice sessions for participants. In addition to learning valuable life skills, many students receive continuing education credits, clock hours and college credits for completing our trainings. Continuing Legal Education credits can be received through the Washington State Bar Association and other credits may be available through your professional organization.

Developing a Trauma Informed Workplace
Explore trust’s impact on communication, practice feedback and apology strategies, and develop skills to strengthen relationships. This course focuses on building, maintaining, and repairing trust using the Sincerity, Reliability, Care, and Competence model.

Training Fee Refund Policy

Cancellations up to one week prior to the training will be subject to a $25 processing fee
-
Cancellations between 24 hours and one week from the date of training will be eligible for a 50% refund or full payment may be applied to another training within 1 year
-
No refunds once training has begun, but full payment may be applied to another training within 1 year
-
Funds paid but not used after 1 year from date of cancellation will be forfeited
